Lynnette Graduates Cal State Fullerton

May 22, 2011:

Although not related by blood, The Perez Family and mine have been close since the day my parents met!  We have grown up together, and I was honored when Monica contacted me to make a cake for Lynette's graduation from Cal State Fullerton!  They loved the cake, which made me very happy!  Lynette's cake was similar to Carla's, with a Tuffy Twist!

I hand made the Tuffy and the Titan letters.

The base and middle cake were chocolate chocolate chip cake with fresh strawberries and bavarian cream filling, and the top tier was chocolate chocolate chip with ganache and fresh strawberies.

Azureily's Birthday, Hello Kitty Style!

May 22, 201:

The first year I worked at Capo High School, I met a great group of boys that helped welcome me and would often visit me in the office.  Over the years, I have kept in touch with one of those boys, Junior Rodriguez, who is now married and has a beautiful little girl.  I was happy when he asked me to make his daughter's 3rd birthday cake, Hello Kitty style!

I used the invitation as inspiration!

The base was strawberry cake with fresh strawberries and bavarian cream filling and the top tier was marble with ganache filling.

2 In 1

May 13, 2011:

Dawn is one of my good friends at work.  Her daughter, Kayla was turning 21 and her son Michael was turning 13 and they were going to have a family celebration.  We played with the idea of making cupcakes...but then dicided, 2 small cakes it is!

Michael loves playing XBOX, so what better than just that!
This was a chocolate chocolate chip cake with a dobash (chocolate cream) filling.

The dog-tags are Michael's online name...XagiantmidgetX (X A Giant Midget X).

Dawn was inspired by Rebecca's cake and thought Kayla would love the Tiffany box as wll...and she did!

Softball Slugger

April 23, 2011:

This cake was made in celebration of the end of the season for my daughter Bella's softball team, 2 Cute 4 A Name.

The numbers on the cake represents each girl and the position they played.  My Bella was #1 at the catcher's position.

The base cake was chocolate with buttercream icing and the top layer was golden vanilla cake with lemon filling.

My cousin Bekki and I also make Holiday/Special Occassion Cookies so we made these adorable softball and jersey cookies to give each of the players and coaches.  Thay loved them!

Garden of Flowers

My dear friend/co-worker, Eileen, (who is one of my biggest fans, encourager and the key reason for me taking on this new venture) was hosting a Michelle Neal Jewelry Party and asked me to make her a garden of cupcakes.  I absolutely LOVE the way these came out!

These cupcakes were lemon with buttercream icing and red velvet with cream cheese icing.

Sweetness......

April 14, 2011:

You never know where you may meet someone... The day I had to deliver Kenny's Vegas cake, my Bella had softball evaluations so my hubby was going to stay back and take her and our other girls, Lexi & Lulu and I decided to carpool with our good friend, Marco since we were all going to hang out at the party anyway.

On our way out to Lake Elsinore, we stopped at the Jack In the Box in Brea to get the girls a snack.  While in the drive-through, the girl working the window complimented the cake.  Marco quickly told her that I had made it and gave her my business card.  Well...about 3 months later...she called to order a special cake for her moms birthday.

This cake looks so feminine and sweet to me!  Ivory buttercream with the pastel flowers...Love it!  I handmade all the flowers on this cake.

This was a marble cake with fresh raspberry filling.

Love is In the Air!

April 10, 2011:

This is another of my favorites!!  This baby showercake was for my friend/co-worker, Barbara's daughter, Sarah.  Sarah is actually an actress on the TV show Chuck.  Barbara and I had a great time deciding on a cake that depicts Sarah & Matt's love for eachother and in the excitement of the arrival of their baby boy!

To us, this cake tells a story:

The base cake shows how the two love birds meet.
The top tier shows the love birds fall in love.....................

The nest with the blue egg symbolizes the creation of a beautiful baby boy!

This was a lemon drop cake with lemon filling!

April 3, 2011:

My friend/co-worker, Barbara, came to me at work one day to tell me that her friend LeAnn wated to order a cake from me.  I e-mailed LeAnn and soon she had a baby shower cake ordered.  I must say...I knew this would be a challenging cake because of the hand-crafted baby animal figures (that I had never made before), but like everything else, I took on the challenge and absolutely loved the finished product!  This is one of my favorites so far!!

Adorable!!!! The base cake was chocolate chocolate chip with bavarian cream filling and the top tier was chocolate chocolate chip cake with a fresh raspberry filling.
